American Airlines announced it will launch new domestic service this fall from five of its major hubs to various cities throughout the Midwest.

Beginning September 3, the airline will launch two twice-daily non-stop service between Grand Rapids, Michigan, and both Charlotte and Philadelphia. The new service will be operated by US Airways Express.

On October 2, the carrier will begin thrice-daily service from Charlotte to Evansville, Indiana, as well as daily service from Charlotte to Fort Wayne, Indiana. US Airways Express will operate both new routes.

Also on October 2, American will launch daily service to Bismarck, North Dakota from both Chicago and Dallas/Fort Worth.   Both routes will be operated by American Eagle.

American will also begin twice-daily service between Philadelphia and Fort Wayne, Indiana, which will be operated by US Airways Express, on October 2. In addition, the carrier will commence new daily service on October 2 between Phoenix and Cleveland, Ohio, which will also be operated by US Airways.

The flights operated by US Airways Express will use Bombardier CRJ aircraft, while the American Eagle-operated routes will use Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft. The Phoenix-Cleveland route operated by US Airways will use Airbus A320 aircraft.
