US Airways, a subsidiary of American Airlines Group, announced a codeshare agreement with Finnair for select transatlantic and European flights.

Under the agreement, US Airways will place its code on Finnair-operated flights from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Toronto Pearson International Airport to Helsinki, Finland, as well as on Finnair flights between Helsinki and 11 cities in Europe, including Brussels, Oslo, Stockholm, and Zurich.

In addition, members of both US Airways’ Dividend Miles and Finnair’s Plus frequent flyer programs are now able to earn and redeem miles on flights operated by either carrier.

US Airways, which merged with American Airlines in 2013, became an affiliate member of a joint business venture between American Airlines, Finnair, British Airways, and Iberia earlier this year. It will become a full member once it completes its integration with American Airlines. All of the airlines in the joint business venture are members of the oneworld alliance.
